IPSY Review!

I recently resubscribed to Ipsy after not being happy with it the first time I got it.... and I'm still not impressed! They obviously don't take your quiz results into account very well. But I (kinda) worked with what I got.

Individual reviews and how I used them in the look:
Bareminerals 5 in 1 Beauty Balm - It didn't last very long on my eyelid, but I didn't use a primer because I was testing the claim. With primer it probably lasts. I used it all over my lid as a base.  Very pretty color!!
Pop Beauty Bronzer - I am not happy with this! It smells weird. In my quiz I put that I have oily skin and acne.... so they give me a product that has mineral oil as the second ingredient! So instead of risking a breakout I used it as an eyeshadow. I blended it into my crease and a little above it.
Beach Spray - Useless! The Not Your Mother's beach spray is far better! I used this one in my hair and it did nothing but make it smell odd!
Pixi Lip Balm - Love it! It is a very pretty color and I will definitely use it up! I used it as my lipstick.
Tanning Oil - I said in my quiz that I don't wan't tanning products... and guess what they gave me! I will be giving this to a friend!

Other products used: L'Oreal Manga mascara, Jemma Kidd Drama Queen eyeliner

My Poppy's Birthday Cake!

My poppy came to visit for his birthday so I made him a super chocolate-y cake! I used a dark chocolate boxed cake and made homemade frosting! I just used my vanilla frosting recipe and added 6 ounces (or 8?) of melted chocolate chips per batch. A double batch was enough for everything!

How To Spice Up A Single Serve Rice Cup!

I love amping up my single serving food items! Here is a quick and easy way to make a single serve rice cup better! You need a cheese stick, some tuna, and the rice. Just cook the rice as the instructions say, add in your desired amount of tuna, cube your cheese stick, and add it in. Then stir! Voila you're done! You could also add chicken or any other meat to your rice cup, whatever you're in the mood for!

Makeup Haul!

My orders came in from Sephora and M.A.C.!

Let's start with the M.A.C.! I got a travel size of the Fix+ and the Sculpt sculpting powder.

I got the Fix+ for my sparkle and loose eyeshadows and a refill of the Sculpt powder. I bought an ELF eyeshadow palette, removed the shadows, removed the tray, super glued in the magnet tray on the bottom so it would stay (because mine popped out), and then placed the face powder on it.

I got the Kat Von D Shade Shifter eyeshadow set! These are very cool eyeshadows.

I got two Aqua Liners from Make Up For Ever in the shades 5 and 9. These are my favorite liquid eyeliners! I have the red one (shade 10) and it is awesome! I did a winged eyeliner look with it then went to a 2 hour ballet class and it didn't budge. They have a stiff applicator instead of a flimsy applicator like most eyeliners have. Stiff applicators are easier for me to do a winged eyeliner. I plan on using these when I go to Universal and Disney!

I got this set for free because I am a V.I.B. member at Sephora! It included a lip polish, advanced therapy lip balm, and the sugar shine lip treatment.

The last thing I got is the birthday set from Sephora! Even though my birthday was in April.... hehee. It has a "red" lipstick (it's like a nude red if that is possible) and the Smokey Extravagant mascara.

June Favorites!

Come one, come all 'tis time for JUNE FAVORITES!

This Maybelline Dream Pure BB cream is definitely not a godsend product, but I like the fact that it has 2% salicylic acid! The coverage is what is says on the package... light and sheer. I like to mix it with my other foundations to lighten up the coverage and to give me some extra acne fighting power.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. The It Cosmetics CC+ cream is so wonderful! It takes away all the redness on my face and gives me good coverage without looking cakey. It has a pump, which is another added plus. It also has SPF 50+ which is great for summer... or any time of the year.

M.A.C. is my favorite brand at the moment, so of course I gotta put one of their products in here! Every time I use my Electric Palette by Urban Decay I use this eyeshadow. It is Chrome Yellow. It's such a fun color and it has great pigmentation.

Neutrogena's Shine Control powder seems to do what it says. I use this to set my face and it seems to control the shine. I also use the shine control primer on my t-zone to help control the shine. This is also much cheaper than some of it's competitors. There was another powder I was looking at getting that was 30$ and then there was this one... which was around 10$! They probably work just as well as each other.

Since I am a teenage girl "blessed" with hormones, I have acne problems... So I was on a quest to find a blush that wouldn't accentuate my blemishes. Clinique's Ginger Pop blush was it for me! I LOVE the color. This line of blushes have awesome pigmentation!

And last but not least........... BAJA BLAST IN A CAN! Not much to say about this.. it's just tastey. Although the Baja in Taco Bell seems fizzier....

Marilyn Manson Concert!

Last year I went to a Marilyn Manson concert and I thought I'd share the pictures! It was the BEST concert EVER (well... it's in my top 3). The pictures aren't the greatest because we were on the balcony and they were taken with an Iphone. Enjoy!

Coconut and Bacon!

I made a homemade dinner last night and finished it with some cupcakes! I made a Loaded Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi Bake and Coconut Cupcakes. The bake didn't taste as I expected it to, but that's because I didn't like the gnocchi I used. Everything else was great!

The recipe for the bake can be found at: http://insidebrucrewlife.com/2014/04/loaded-chicken-alfredo-gnocchi-bake/
